Cambria Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities with the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office confirmed to 6 News that the 6-year-old boy who was injured in Monday's crash in Blacklick Township has passed away.
Officials identified the boy as Vince Rietscha IV, of Ebensburg.
Authorities say the boy was flown to UPMC Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh following the two-vehicle crash on Duman Road (Route 271) which also claimed the life of a 23-year-old Nanty Glo man.
Investigators say the boy died in the hospital Monday night, just before midnight.
Officials say the boy suffered blunt force trauma injuries to his head and torso and his death has been ruled accidental.
Authorities have not provided an update on the condition of the 41-year-old Ebensburg man who was also injured in the crash.

State police have identified the victim of Monday's two-vehicle, head-on crash on Route 271 in Blacklick Township.
Troopers say 23-year-old Mitchell Teeter, of Nanty Glo, was killed after his vehicle crossed into the opposite lane of travel along Duman Road.
Police say Teeter was pronounced dead at the scene and authorities say an autopsy is being conducted Tuesday.
Investigators say the driver of the other vehicle, a 41-year-old Ebensburg man, was transported to Conemaugh Hospital with serious injuries.
Police say the passenger in the other vehicle, a 6-year-old boy, was also seriously injured in the crash and was flown to UPMC Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh.

911 officials in Cambria County say Route 271, otherwise known as Duman Road, in Blacklick Township will be closed for an extended period of time following a fatal crash.
Officials say the road will be closed between Route 422 and Duman Lake County Park.
Cambria County coroner Jeff Lees also confirmed to 6 News that his office has been dispatched to the scene.
Nanty Glo Deputy Fire Chief Rich Brown says crews were called for a two vehicle crash with a boy trapped and one male confirmed dead on scene.
Brown adds that the child was flown to a local hospital.
Authorities have not yet provided any further details at this time but 6 News has a crew heading to the scene.
